At the beginning and end of each quarter, the Bay Tree Bookstore provides an opportunity for students
to sell back used, unwanted coursebooks. This quarter, we have worked with some of our wonderful used book partners
and are able to offer you options to sell your books back online, despite current social distancing regulations and
campus closure. The choice to sell your books is yours.HOW TO SELL YOUR BOOKS:Click through to Nebraska Book Company
or MBS Textbook Exchange and search for the book(s) you want to sell back. Once you've entered
your books and confirmed what you want to sell back, you'll receive a prepaid postage label to ship
them to our used book suppliers. That's it! You'll be paid for what you ship back once it's processed.
Each buyback page linked above is hosted by a different used book vendor so they may be looking for different things. If the first one
doesn't give you a value for your book, try the next one to maximize your buyback. When can I sell my books? You can sell your books back at any time and there is currently no end date for this service. Which books can I sell?
You can sell back any book that comes up on the search page; you aren't limited to books you purchased through the Bay Tree Bookstore.
Be sure that the books you are selling back are in good condition, free of any damages including but not limited to tears and rips,
stains and liquid damages. How much are my books worth?
Books that hold a market demand can be sold at going market price, which
will typically vary from 10-30% of the list price. Some books have little or no value on the resale market, and are better kept
in your library or donated to local groups. Some examples are "mass-market" paperbacks, books which have
changed edition, gone out-of-print, or are damaged.A Thank you to our partners:
We'd like to extend a special thanks to two of our used book partners, Nebraska Book Company and MBS Textbook Exchange, without
whose support we wouldn't have been able to offer a buyback program this term. They've both worked hard to quickly set up a system
so that we can continue to provide you with textbook buyback options this quarter despite so many obstacles. Thank you so much,
Nebraska and MBS!
